Named after its island location in BC’s Howe Sound, Gambier Island Woodworks specializes in big leaf maple & western red cedar home furnishings with a contemporary-modern spin. Just like our MINCA blankets, GIW’s furnishings are always made from all-natural materials. Positioned off the coast of Vancouver, the remote nature of the island dictates that all of GIW’s wood is sourced from trees felled in Gambier’s forests, where it is then dried & milled on site. Founder Dave Kirkham says that GIW projects always take longer than expected, but also turn out better than intended.
Morning or night, as you curl up with your MINCA blanket, these all-natural coasters will safely & stylishly house your favourite coffee mug or well-deserved glass of wine.
